Mike and Laurice- Denver, CO

The fun thing about engagement sessions is that you never quite know what to expect.  Some couples come prepared with more props and ideas that you can imagine, others will simply just go with the flow.  The great thing about Gaston couples, is that either way, their personalities always come through the images.  It’s always fun to look through the photos and remember what a great time we had.

The same feeling goes toward Mike and Laurice’s shoot.  After some family fun with the pups, we took them home, had a change of clothes, and the  stylish downtown couple came out to play.  It was hard to pick just ten photos (there are eleven photos if you’re counting;)) because we had such a great time.  Take a look and tell us which one is your favorite!

Nissa’s Maternity Session

It’s always sofun to see brides go from white veils and fluffy dresses to fuzzy blankets, diapers, and stuffed animals. After shooting Troy and Nissa’s Colorado reception, we’ve seen Nissa’s maternity session and coming soon will be pictures of their beautiful daughter! Before the newborn photos come, who doesn’t love a good belly photo? Leave a comment if you like what you see!

Dancell and Jessica – Golden, Co

The 2011 wedding season started off with a great couple- Dancell and Jessica.  After rescheduling their engagement session three times due to Colorado’s fickle weather, we were so lucky that the day turned out as great as some of the photos.  We really enjoyed their “cheesy” engagement session, but their wedding day was nothing but beautiful, touching moments.  A great way to start the season!

Yun- Senior Photos

Yun is a participate of the foreign exchange program and is staying with Devi’s family, a past senior model of ours.  Yun brought his own creative director for the shoot, himself. His love for photography and great fashion sense demanded creativity and non-traditional posing.  It was a great shoot and really enjoyed the versatility of his images!

Dancell and Jessica – Denver Engagement Session at Red Rocks

After two reschedules due to snow, Dancell, Jessica and I were able to squeeze in their engagement session before the next big storm.  It was a beautiful day out in Red Rocks.  The session started out a bit stiff so I suggested a kiss to “get them in the mood”.  They informed me that there will be no kissing on camera and they didn’t want to do anything “cheesy”.  As a photographer, I know some of the best stuff comes when suggesting cheesy posing.  It’s not the pose we want, but the reaction the pose brings; I wanted to prove that to them.  D&J were game.  After a few of the cheesiest poses and amazing reactions, Jessica become the creative director and ran with it.  Soon after, it became a pose off between the two.  For something that started off really stiff, it became a fun and exciting session full of cheese!

It was awesome!
